* On October 1, 1985, the DoD Technology Analysis Office (DTAO)
was established to provide required professional engineering and 
computer science support to the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense
for Research and Advanced Technology (DUSD[R&AT]).  The DTAO is a 
Management Support Activity administratively within the Defense
Logistics Agency and functionally reporting to the DUSD(R&AT).

One branch of the DTAO provides technical support to the Ada
Joint Program Office in all technical areas such as language
standardization and control, validation and environment issues.
