For those who have recently posted messages seeking the pin out for the
Alinco DR-590, I am pleased to be able to report it to you now that I have
received the plain English manual from the company.  The pinouts are:
1 - MIC; 2 - PTT; 3 - DOWN; 4 - UP; 5 - DC 5V; 6 - REMOTE; 7 - GND (MIC); 
8 - GND.  If you are uncertain, pins begin at the 11 o'clock position (pin 1)
and continue counterclockwise to pin 7 (at 1 o'clock).  Pin 8 is the center
pin.  

If you wish to replace your "Jinglish" manual with a much more comprehensible
one, just call the company (213) 618-8616 or fax (213) 618-8758.

One last note:  If, like me, you have previously wired the dr-110 for packet,
you will be interested to note that the dr-590 pin outs are the same except
for pin 6.  Good luck.
