HTX202.3

Hello to all HTX-202 owners. As you know, these radio's are notorious 
for low audio from the factory. You can make these adjustment yourself.
When you open the back of your radio at the bottom right hand corner 
of the radio, there is a pot labled VR1. On the board next to the VR1 
it has mic level written on the board. Anyway, to adjust you mic gain 
up, turn VR1 counterclockwise. This will bring your mic level gain up.
Yes I said counter clockwise. If you turn it clockwise, you'll make your 
mic level go down even lower than it is. After you make this adjustment,
 close the radio up and you'll have no more low audio when you talk on 
the HTX-202. By the way, I know the HTX cannot be modified in anyway,
however this adjustment is real and not a hoax. 73 de Carleton,
