KAM.21 From: G4YFP@GB7RMS.#34.GBR.EU Hi KAM and KPC2 owners indeed any TNC owner where the 7805 voltage regulator fits with a screw into the front of the case just behind the front panel. A fault can and will at some stage occur where the pins of this regulator will shear off leaving your tnc dead or giving strange effects on the LED display or continually resetting itself. This is caused by fatigue on the 7805 pins. Every time you switch your TNC on/off or even move the TNC it causes the PCB to move slightly inside it's case eventually breaking the pins. Unfortunately there's not much that can be done about it except possibly fitting an internal heat sink. So there we have it, maybe its worth buying a spare 7805 reg now because as sure as eggs are eggs yours will go as mine did over the weekend when the stores are closed. 73 de Alan G4YFP@GB7RMS..
