Remove diode from "513" to get excluded 800 MHz freqs. 2. Install a 1N914 diode in "514" to increase scan rate to 10/20 channels-per-second. 3. Install a 1N914 diode in "510" to get the extra 100 channels. 4. Remove diode from "D-44" to restore missing frequencies in th 806 to 960MHz band. 5. Remove diode from "D-45" to restore coverage from 68 to 88MHz. ------------------------------------------------------------------ In step 5 above, I have no idea what this is for. My 2004 came from the store already scanning this range, and this was the first I had ever heard of it. The same goes for step 4. When I removed D513 (as in step 1), I got those freqs back. Perhaps the user who originally posted these had a radio from a different production run. All I can "vouch" for is steps 1, 2, and 3. ---
