Peugeot 309 clunks and starter problem.

    '91 309 Trio(?) S 1.4 carburettor.

    I'm new to these peugeot things so please be patient if what I ask is
    obvious.

    Load clunk when reversing on full lock - such as into parking bay -
    could this be anti roll rubbers. Is it a usual fault?

    Intermitant starting problem. Occasionally when operating the
    starter, all the dash lights go out and the starter fails to
    operate. Its not mechanical as after shaking the odd wire and / or
    pushing relays it will suddenly operate normally. Starter solenoid
    problem? Has it got a starter solenoid? What are all the relays in
    the glove box for? I've got a haynes manual but it is a bit vague on
    details especially on the newer models.

    Other than the above it seems a good little scoot.

    I've found a scrapper outside High Wycombe who specialises in
    Peugeot / Citreon - I'll post a message with my opinion a.s.a.p.
