I got a hold of Arlo Cato today and he was kind enough to waste some of
his time with me. From what he said, it's a relatively simple drop-in,
but the engine is 15-16 hours labor. Then, the big job is the
electricals.
Of course, as many on the list have pointed out, finding a clean
Sportwagon with blown engine and/or tranny wouldn't be all that easy (I
already have the sacrifical Mi16.) All in all, it sounds like a great
project for the talented do-it-yourself mechanic (that leaves me out) who
has the necessary vehicles already at hand. For me, it would probably be
smarter to simply buy a used Saturn stationwagon (ecchhh).
I guess I'll just keep my eyes open for a clean Sportwagon, and slow
down on the off ramps (that's no funnnn.)
