I made an error in my first posting. No I do not mean leaving
the "o" out of "not" ;-) Another error.
Of course, the nylon sleeve is inside the trailing arm, not on the
cross-member on which it pivots.
The nylon is simply a spacer to let you know when the outer bearing
has been pressed home fully. If you were not to penetrate and
puncture the nylon, pumping the grease in would distort it and maybe
even prevent the grease from getting to part or all of the bearings.
