Radio Shack sells "super-tweeters" for $19.95 and $29.95 a pair. They're
a little over an inch in diameter and maybe half-inch thick, black. I
have them wired in parallel with the top-of-the-dash speakers. Set comes
with double-sided black tape. Just bring the wire out from under the
speaker grille and stick the super-tweeter right between the grille and
the windshield for maximum reinforcement.
I haven't spent much time at R.S. lately, but the $29.95 set used to go
on sale for $20/pair every few weeks. These puppies'll give you enough
highs to make your ears bleed.
