If it is just the linkage piece he should be able to buy one from
Westernhemispheres.com, Marcel@marinautoworks, or Madhu in Texas.
Any of the three (I know and like Marcel (415) 381-1395) shuld be
able to have the part drop shipped to a casino near your friend. If
he rolls the car onto a curb so that he can squeeze underneath it he
should be able to change it in 2 minutes (that is if it is similar to
505 linkage). Brian Holm also posted a linkage fix a couple of weeks
ago.
