Hi Henry
You need to find a "chassis number recapitulative chart" which would be
inside a 403 parts manual. Aalternatively, send an email to the French
club for 403s and see what they say.
The longer number on the black anodized plaque that says "Automobiles
Peugeot" on it will be the serial number, and the shorter one is
probably the "carrossirie" (body) number.
I have a 403 manual, but the service one, not parts, so I can't help
you.
