    Well I couldn't resist it. I picked up a 1977 and 1979 504D sedans
the other day from a guy down the road. I tried to get the one from
him years ago but he wouldn't part with it, so it sat for 8 years
because of a blown engine. No rust on the 79 and in pretty good
shape except for paint job and engine. Will use the engine from the
    77. I always wanted a maroon 504 sedan and now I have it. But its
    going to be a project--which I enjoy!

I would like to put a gas engine in the 77 some day. Does anyone
know the legalities of statutes of limitations that smog controls and
different engines in a car do not matter anymore? Is it 25 years or
unlimited? If it's 25, then in a couple years I could have a gas
engine in it and be able to register it any where in the US--I hope.

    Jerry
    Now with five 504's
