    I would definately check plug wires and leads to spark plugs ( the bakelite
    tubes down the hole) as these have given myself and others a lot of grief
    until traced to them. By changing the bakelite tubes I eliminated arcing to
    valve cover. Doesn't take much to throw things off. Or maybe it is a long
    shot.
