Not normally, just after head work. I think the spec calls for 2 retorques
at set intervals. It's been a long time and I no longer have the 504
service manual at hand, so sorry I can't be more accurate at this time. I
can tell you that many owners are so paranoid about problems that they
routinely retorque to ensure all is nice and evenly tight. Considering the
bolts are designed to stretch, I personally don't think that is a good idea.
