Welocome to the wolrd of mildly blown head gaskets. Sounds as though minute amounts of compression gasses are making their way to the coolant jacket.

I figured it was because the weather had gotten warmer and maybe the water pump was going... Right after turning on the engine I probed around and noticed it wasn't hot, yet air was escaping from the expansion tank cap and the hoses were under a lot of pressure. I checked all hoses for obstructions, blew the radiator out and found no obstructions, even checked out the water pump and re-tightened the belt, yet the problem is still there! The engine runs and sound perfect, no coughing or shaking, no misfires, no smoke. I just can't figure out where this air is coming from!
