504 Cab for sale......maybe

There is a auto on E-Bay that I have to have (it's not a Pug). If the inspection works out,
and the price is still reasonable, I hope to buy it Saturday morning. If I am successful, I will
sell my lovely white 1972 504 Cabriolet in order to finance the purchase. (Tough decision,
sell the Pug or my '72 DS 21?)
I bring this up because I am taking the 504 Cab to Saratoga Springs, NY on Friday for the
big Citroen Rendezvous weekend, so I'm hoping some potential admirers (buyers) might
swing by and have a look over the weekend. On the other hand....if I don't succeed with
the E-Bay thing, I won't be selling....unless, of course, big money was offered. Now if this
all sounds a bit self-serving..... it is. If you are dying to own a 504 Cab, and live between
our nations capital and Albany, I would seriously consider stopping by on the way up or
back.
There are 2 pics recently posted in the photo section of this fine web site. The car was
restored, including a new motor, in 1990 en France. The two previous Canadian owners
never let the car see the light of day. It has been dipped into a vast vat of Waxoil (sp?)
Therre ain't no rust, it drives great, and the paint/body are incredible considering how
long ago it was restored.
The Saratoga Citroen Rendezvous (http://www.driveshesaid.com/) will also feature an
historical photographic opportunity as Mark Diamond is scheduled to bring his lovely 504
Cab to the meet, so there will be two of these gorgeous cars at the same place, at the
same time.
Finally, you might ask what I would want for the car....I'm thinking 2 1/2 to 3 million
dollars, but it's negotiable. Ok, that's a little high.....but if you buy a European car now,
you'll get screwed, so consider this an opportunity. I have very little idea of what its worth
right now....but its got to be more than the car I want on E-Bay!!!!!
But like I said......maybe its for sale, maybe it isn't
