Yep, but I used the metric equivilent listed as 0.10 mm and 0.25mm which converts to the same... Was hoping others may have had a secret for slightly tighter specs that still worked well... Ah well.
Still sounds loud to me - but maybe I'm just not used to it. I figured something was up as the previous settings were all consistently slightly tight - but I figured spec was best.
I'll recheck it - maybe they've settled after the beating it took at the track... :) Have to say the car is still running fantastic though... Brings a smile to my everytime I run it through the gears, and once the exhaust is done it'll be even sweeter!

What did the Haynes give you for specs? 4 and 10 thousanths of an inch is what it should be

Hi guys,
Before I took off on the trip in my 504 I set the valve lash adjustment, and all were tighter than spec according to my Haynes manual - but the engine sounded nice and quiet. After setting the lash to spec on a cold motor - engine is quite loud with a lot of valvetrain clatter...
Any tips for different specs to use - or maybe adjust when hot?
