Peugeot Re: 504 XN1 / XN6 valve lash adjustment...

I once adjusted the valves on an XN6 in a hurry and used ex valves
full closed instead of full open. The motor turned 5X then started,
but was too quiet, at which point I realized holy crap I did it all
wrong and had to do it alllll over again!

Once done properly ( ex full open), it had a light clatter to it,
but ran much better. It was more responsive and started instantly
as well.
