    Greetings,

I suspect the starter in my 505 N9TE is bad. It's been emitting a
grinding noise for the past couple of days, and it finally stopped
turning several hours ago (completely silent, no clicks). All other
electrics on the car work properly, the battery is good, battery
terminals/connectors are clean, solenoid (+) gets a full 12V, and
shorting the solenoid (+) and (-) does not result in the engine
    cranking.

Do listmembers have any tips on how to approach the starter removal?
The motor seems to be "nicely" tucked underneath the intake manifold,
but is potentially accessible from above the engine bay. I can't see
the bolts holding the starter to the block (how many?). The charcoal
