Its probably the vacuum actuator, they go bad occasionally, behind the
insulation on the firewall (engine compartment). To the right of the blower.
There are 3 types in the car and parts fiches are mixed up. If it is the
culprit, I can give you the corrct p/n, ....this actuator works two flaps
and can have 2 or 3 ports.

Subject: 86 XN6 505 AC problems...Help!
On my 86 505 AC control panel, the push button that switches from outside
air
(which comes in fine) to recirculating air isn't doing it. When pushed, I
hear some vacuum sounds and the outside air stops coming, but the interior
air doesn't blow out of any of the vent options. No wind at all. I would
guess the interior air sucking spot isn't opening, but I might be wrong. Any
ideas? How and where do I check?
Thanks in advance,
Charles Charpiot
