Really curious....what levels of hop-up are offered by Danielson and
Politecnic and what parts are involved ? Personally 250 or so hp is what
interests me.
Now looking back I wish I had taken the time to research performance
parts for the engine during the rebuild, I ended up with an Erikson head,
(no complaints), but that would have been the time for a proper head. The
bottom end was in great shape, a slightly damaged piston (replaced) from a
failed head gasket and the cracks in the head were the problems.
A head redesign (better/more even cooling) with stronger pistons is probably
what the tuners offer as a "stage one", with cam and timing changes to
suit. (would like to find out), Then boost can go up safely to 15 lbs with
the stock turbo and perhaps looking at 230/250 hp (reliable and durable). I
suspect the cost would be ~3,000 DIY

Peugeot Sport near Paris (Velizy) sent all their 505 racing parts
some years back to FL Development (Frank Liotard) and Danielson in
Magny-Cours.
Danielson can be reached at:

Talk to Mr Bernard DELAPORTE if you have at least some french
language skills. If not, find someone who has. Having said that,
you can order most Danielson components thru Politecnic if you
are willing to do the work yourself, or send your engine to Politecnic
as they've played more with the N9T in recent years than any other
tuner I know. The reason is that they drop the N9T in Matra Murena.
While Danielson was pushing up to 430hp, you can request up to
550 hp from Politecnic. Price start at about 27000FF for an N9T
with Cosworth forged pistons, EVO 2 head and Danielson camshaft
(and upgraded valves).
They stock all Peugeot stock, Peugeot Sport and Danielson engine
components. They even have their very own aluminium valve cover with
Politecnic embossed. Very cool (2000FF ). Alu wheels in up to 10"x18"
(yes even for the 505).

I'm not sure exactly what Francois is talking about, but I know
Danielson made performance parts (like cylinder heads) for the 505
Turbo back in the mid 80's. I didn't know you could send them an
engine and get back a 430HP monster, but I think I'm going to check
it out. :)
