On the diesels that I have had, the mileage differed a lot depending on the
driver.
spouse
leadfoot (guess who that is)
77 504 D auto 32-35mpg 21-27mpg
81 504 D 4spd 35-40 24-31
81 505 TD auto 35-40 22-27
17mpg and a us gallon at that, on a 604 is great mileage. Most I've heard of
was 15mpg on an imp. gallon. Needless to say that I have never achieved that
with my 604.
