Peugeot "sticky" emergency brakes '86 505 STI

    I rarely set my parking brake on my 505 because they are notorious for
    getting stuck, but on occassion one needs to use it. Lately, when I
    release it, they are staying stuck slightly on; I can feel the drag.
    They release after driving about a 1/4 mile. While stuck on, the
    emergency brake pull is slack. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm
    worried about the day they don't release, plus I need to pass an
    inspection next month.
