I've had also had quite a few problems with the boards that the tail light
bulbs are mounted on. The connections seem to loosen over time. To this day,
I still have intermittent outages of rear turn signals.

    Ken,

Have you looked at the lights, themselves, in front and back, while leaving
on the offending directional signal. I have had this happen only when one of
the lights actually is not functioning. Getting power back to a working bulb
or replacing a nonworking bulb usually ends the problem. Sometimes, the
wiring is at fault back along the travel path of current, sometimes it is in
the lamp holder units somewhere. If it is easy to find, it still may be hard
to fix. French engineering at its best! Hope for a blown bulb!

About a month ago, both front units acted up at the same time, but
independently. The left was a blown bulb. The right was a short in the power
supply path in the unit, ultimately fixed with thin solder and a 30-watt
soldering iron -- still melted the plastic, but not terminally -- phew!!

    Gene
