Hey Bill,
you say six flashes. is it 4 flashes pause then 2 ? or is 5 flashes pause the 1?
If its 4 then 2 the manual says:
- Continuity of electrical circuit between injection ECU (pin6) and ignition ECU(pin8)
-Boost pressure and electrovalve
-Potentionmeter and its electrical circuit
-Try again with new injection ECU
-Try again with newe ignition ECU
For 5 then 1:
-continuity of electrical circuit
-replace NTC sensor (engine temperature sensor)

Hello,
arrrgh! I am dying here. At least I am not freezing anymore.
I replaced both relays with the right Bosch ones. The old injection
relay was a 15 amp, and terminal 87 and 87b on the relay itself were not
connected internally like the new ones. Now I am getting the 2.2 ohms
across 9 and 12.
I also got another injection subharness. The old subharness (which
feeds the injectors and the aux air valve) seemed to check out, at least
as far as the continuity from terminal to terminal goes. I put the other
one on.
Problem is, I am still getting six flashes.
I am having confusion over the B+ side of the injector connectors.
When I have the key on, I am getting 12 volts on both sides of the
connector. And when I check the continuity of Pin 12 against the
injector connector with the battery disconnected, I get 6.2 ohms on one
side and 4.4 ohms on the other side. Is it normal for there to be
numbers like that?
I will go over again what was already checked, without a problem found:
Getting continuity between pin 8 of ign and pin 6 of inj
Getting continuity on TPS connector and ign ECU.
Charge voltage ok.
Pins 11 and 13 <altitude sensor> - getting 2.45 ohms (should be 2-3) -
checks out okay.
Pins 7 and 13 - <intake air flow> - getting 1.15, (should be between 1
and 2) - checks out okay.
Pins 8 and 13 - <intake air flow> - getting 7.93, (should be between 7
and 8) - checks out okay.
Pins 8 and 9 - <ambient air temp>, getting 203 ohms, (should be
150-250), checks out okay. Pins 5 and 8 - getting 375, (should be
350-450) - checks out okay
Pins 8 and 9- getting 204, (should be 150-250) - checks out okay
Pins 5 and 7 - Funny AFM readings, but funny on higher end. Is at 80
when not open. Significance questionable..
12 volts at pin 9, with the key on.- checks okay.
Wire 32E at relay and Pin 9, getting 00.0 ohms - checks okay.
Wire 31 on relay. 00.0 ohms on one side of injector connector - checks okay.
Resistor packet outer pin and injector B+, I can find a cooresponding
pin which reads 00.0
Continuity between center injector resistor pin and pin 12, getting
00.0, - checks out okay.
Is there anything else that I can check, and are my voltage and ohm
readings sound correct on the injectors?
BTW, I just got the book, so that will cut down on the simple questions.
