Please don't delay in replacing possibly dangerous fuel regulators!
This STX thing had me really worried! In fact I was so worried that
I decided the regulator was going to be replaced last Friday period.
So I whipped on down to the PP and found the regulator there had been
snagged by an unwarey lion tamer before I could get it. And actually
a previous engine I pulled there had the regulator missing also. Now
hopefully these were new units and not old ones ready to fail and
over pressurize the main! Someone is running these things!! Anyway,
after contacting WH and finding that they did not have one, I tried
Volparts which had a new one in stock! I could not justify my time
going to PP for the price of a regulator! So please put this danger
out of your mind by replacing these things before they tweek your
mind by idle surges, rich running, and downright bomb like leak
tendancies! Replacement might take you 10 minutes. A lot better than
scortched Lions and angry wives!! Bill
