    FYI

You can buy the OEM N9Txx air filter from several places including
Disortex. This is the complete assembly which includes a new foam
element, the plastic tray, and a new rubber seal.

The rubber seal material starts to dry out and crack by about 30k
miles--this is when I'd recommend replacing it. This is also when
Peugeot recommended replacement. I don't think Peugeot really
intended us to use those aftermarket replacement foam elements for
    any length of time anyway.

Most of the Turbos here in our little mini-fleet have had new
assemblies installed on schedule, and the inside of the airbox
remains clean. Even with the small amount of clingy oil vapor from
the PCV system, the AFM and other parts remain clean--no buildup of
particulates, etc. An old dried up seal lets in a lot of junk.
