    Another option that I have heard is attaching a supplemental spring
    externally, perhaps with an adjustable end link to tune in the
    preload accurately. Attach one end of a durable spring to the
    wastegate lever, and the other end (with adjustment) to something on
    the turbocharger such as the actuator bracket or the coolant pipe.

    I feel that this would give a much more consistent adjustment
    compared to the ghetto boost-leak setup. Plus it keeps the intake
    system totally closed (atleast when it is supposed to be).
