This is the bracket for the diagnostic connector. Those of you with
XN6s know exactly what it looks like. It was for test equipment that
was not used in this country.
The device could report system voltage, ignition advance, exact
engine speed, etc.
The XN6 connector had 6 pins: 3 of them came from the dedicated
crankshaft position sensor (in bellhousing), 2 of them came from the
primary ignition system (+ and - to the coil), and 1 of them was a
ground.
I suspect the N9TE version was similar. Note the brown-ish wire
looping around in the pic, this is for the ground pin--the same as
the XN6 version.
