My 91 505 SW8 ZDJL/4hp22 has a funky idle. When in park/neutral, it
will hold 1000 pretty well(set with a digital inductive tach). but in
gear, R or D, it will sometimes stall but usually holds 800, and is
quite rough. I've boosted the idle so in neutral it's at 1200, and in
gear it settles at 1000. but i know 950 is the correct idle. What
could be the problem?
Car has:
81k mi,
tune up this week incl bg44k, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, valve adj,
clean pcv, filters, changed fluids, everything but o2.

any ideas?
