Subject: How to set timing on newer XN6 coil

I replaced the distributor on my '84 XN6 with a newer XN6 model
distributor (thanks, Brian Holm!). However, with the older
distributor, it was easy to set the timing: turn the engine until an
arm of the starwheel lined up with the Hall effect sensor. On the
newer one, the elements below the rotor are encased in metal; you
cannot SEE the Hall effect sensor. I do note there is a view hole in
the lower part of the distributor body. Is that for setting the
timing? What do I line up in the hole?
