Peugeot 505 sw8 1991

    OK folks, I've been doing the impossible task of removing the
    starters from a pair of 1991 and 1992 SW 8 cars with ZDJL . The 1991
    has apparently incorrect socket head screws rather than bolts,
    likely courtesy of sunset coachmen who did extensive work on the car,
    once upon a time. They likely bolted engine and trans together out of
    the car (and installed starter). There's not room for much more than
    an allen wrench (8mm) and no using one on a ratchet. No room. Well
    the whole project is something like delivering a calf because you
    can't even see the starter. It comes out of the space left after you
    remove battery and overflo bottle.

    OK, now the problem. In the course of all this i may have dislodged
    something. My wife is complaining that the brakes hiss and there is a
    hissing coming out of the front of the rubber boot above the brake
    pedal. Is this the rear of the brake booster. Did the booster just
    coincidentally fail?All the hoses seem to be on the booster and the
    air boxes.

    My wife says she's going to buy a few year old $10,000 toyota camry
    or abalone. Of course she's never driven one.
