I'm getting better gas mileage (23city/27hwy) out of my '86 505 turbo
(4cyl, 2.2 liter gas). I don't know what type of engine your STI has got,
so the comparison with my turbo might be misleading.

Since we are at it, I'd say I'm surprised by the rather poor gas mileage
I'm getting out of my '91 405 DL (23city/26hwy), which has a smaller
engine, and no turbo.
