505 questions

I have to bite the bullet this Saturday and change my front rotors. I've=
order a pair of aftermarket rotors at $40.81 (US) each which should be here=
tomorrow. Is the procedure for the 86 STI pretty much the same as in the=
Haynes book for the 504 diesel? Do I need to replace any nuts, bolts, or=
washers with new ones? What size socket do I need for the big nut that=
holds the wheel on the spindle?

On another note, Senen, in your answer to Chuck on his questions, you said:
'My 86 STI is much different in height and stiffness than the conventional=
older 505's.' I don't remember having noticed any difference in height=
between my 86 STI and my late 81 s-td, but I sure notice the difference in=
stiffness. It corners much flatter (obviously the reason for the increased=
stiffness) but every small imperfection in the road seems to be magnified=
through the interior, particularly through the dashboard. I don't feel the=
jarring, but I sure hear it. The only road imperfections that I remember=
causing interior noises in the 81 were tar strips on concrete highways in=
the summer at highway speeds. I have been wondering if the interior noises=
from potholes were standard for newer STIs or just an aberration with mine.

Do you get dashboard noises in your 86 STI?

Thanks in advance for any help or answers.
