AC problems on 405

Hi folks,

I need your advice regarding the unusual behavior of the AC on
this '91 Peugeot 405 DL of mine. I noticed (it's hard not to when
driving in Texas!) that my air conditioning is blowing hot air at
highway speeds (say, above 65 mph). During city driving (35-45 mph)
though, it comes back to life and blows very cold air.

Has anyone encountered this before?
