Re: Natural Gas question

Hi Senen,

My understanding is that LNG conversion totally bypasses the fuel-injection
system. For dual-fuel conversion, this is, of course, ideal, as it means
that the original K-Jetronic can continue to be used as it was designed. I
assume that when the LNG system is invoked, the fuel pump to the K-Jet
system is simply shut off.

The last time I checked on this was about two years ago. Things may have
changed since then, but I can't see how else a natural gas delivery system
could be integrated into a K-Jetronic arrangement.

The LNG tanks aren't too big. They're normally located in the trunk.

Senen, what did the CleanAir report say about your emissions? Which area
was particularly high, and did they give you any recommendations for
improvement (they are supposed to tell you how to bring the car back to
spec). Your mileage may be easily improved by fixing the K-Jetronic rather
than spending a fortune on an LNG system.

Just my $0.02 worth!
