Hi Senen,

I'm home in Ithaca for the weekend and catching up on things. I have made
a copy of the Chilton manual Peugeot pages from the copy that I had told
you about some time ago. I took a few pages at a time into where I am
currently working and the Peugeot section is done. I hadn't mailed it
because I have another section to copy that covers generic areas like
diesel engines, struts, brakes, et cetera.

The manual is in Memphis, where I will be late tonight, but I think it
covers the timing chain and tensioner, if I remember correctly. It may be
the diesel engine section that I am thinking of, or my Land Rover factory
manual or an old Rover manual for my former 2000TC. Nevertheless, I am
taking your letter back with me and will mail the Peugeot section to you
tomorrow or the next day to the address in your sig, then send the rest
when I have that ready. If you want it sent to a different address, I will
be watching my mail until about 5 p.m.

Steve

and what's in the car: Champion RC9BMC

Argh!! So, went back to the store to ask what the deal was. They
didn't have any RC9BMC there, and only two RC9YC. The RC9MBC has two
electrodes, whereas the RC9YC looks like a normal plug. In the end
they threw up their hands in disgust and told me to contact
Peugeot. Ha! Now, somebody out there must have some idea as to what
to use. Hints?

Today I also noticed for the first time a whirring sound coming from
the air ducts in the center console. Yanked the dashboard hood, and
sure enough it comes from the fan itself. You really notice it at low
fan speeds, as it is louder than the noise of the air coming out. At
some speeds it vanishes (about 50% of max fan speed), but it is even
there when the fan speed knob is turned all the way down. Anyone had
this problem?
