We have just had an inordinate amount of rain in New England, 10 inches
in 36 hours, and today I had nearly an inch of water inside my car,
behind both driver and passenger seats in the foot rest area, with more
water behind the passenger seat.
I did some driving during the rain storm and drove through some pretty
deep puddles.
However, I've been in a lot of rain before, and have never had this
happen to me. The rain water may have ruined my newly installed
multi-disk CD player under the front passenger seat, and I am a little
worked up over it. I don't know if the water came in from above, from
underneath, or whether it seeped in under the door. There are no obvious
signs of water leakage.
I've spent the last two hours drying out, but because the insulation
under the carpet is soaked, and can't be dried out, I may resort to
taking all carpeting out and replacing the insulation.
Has any other 405 owner had this problem?
