RE: Peugeot 504 '79

Followed your link to the PSA page detailing the "new" 504 pickup.
Interesting... It's been around for a long time but it is still
considered "new"? These are quite popular in China. I imagine it is
simply the 504 wagon with chopped back-end and possibly some structural
reinforcements. Spec sheets says it comes with a 2.3L Diesel and 5sp
tranny. Geeze! That 5sp option is something that was sorely missed in
the 504 series. If you were slightly mechanically inclined you could
take one from a 505 and place it in the 504, but the car really
should've had it - especially for the N. A. market. That's the sole
reason I sold my wagon. Shouldn't have done that - now I'm looking for
one again...
