Well, the standard rust in the bottom of the doors is a problem, The car
was resprayed not so long ago, but for some reason the body shop plugged
up the drain holes. Not particularly clever I thought. Never mind. There
are heaps of 504's here in Australia, and a similar number of 505's. The
504's are of the age and reliability that they are being used by students
mostly, whose parent's have finally parted with them ;) (The cars I mean)
There are a surprising number of 403's about as well.
The 504's here cover a wide variety of condition tho' Most have the rust
in the doors and a few bangs and bruises, but there are also a fair few
which have been looked after well.
Mine is getting the doors derustified as funds allow ;) Thought I might
get her painted British Racing Green. Hahahaha

Thanks ! Will do. The only problem with Senen's idea is that all the 505
STI's over here have metric rims. And the only tire available here for
them is a michelin r something x. Not a performance tire, very expensive.
Which is a shame cause I do really like those wheels ;)
I've got my eye on some 505 GTI wheels tho, which I may just get next time
the tires are due. Better start belting through corners again to wear the
MXF's out :)
Another thought is that the V6 you refer to, is it the Peugeot Renault
Volvo V6 I think it is ? Because for some reason all cars here in
australia fitted with that engine, seem plagued with problems. Head gasket
failure mostly. Perhaps it's a little too warm here for them :) The
Peugeeot club I'm with here in Melbourne looks upon them with disdain.
Perhaps they sent the dud batch over here, while you got the snappy ones
:)
