Sorry for the driving tips Steve, (it was me writing,- the previous
paragraph was my reponse to Scott.) I meant no offense. The winter
tires do make a big difference even on the slickest roads, but since
you rarely encounter them, it would not justify the switch. I guess
thats a pretty small price to pay for the weather you usually get. I
am also glad to here you have a bike also. The CX650 is the V-twin
with the heads angled out either side right? They are very cool. I am
presently restifing a CB750 SS. Its getting an 836cc overbore, stage
two cam, K&N filters, and elect. ign. it should be quite entertaining.
For your diff problems, have you tried draining the diff and putting
the limited slip additive in with the new oil, it may help a little bit.

I have had nothing but good luck with mine. I put it in when it had
130000Km, and have driven for the last 6 years with a water pump, and
starter being the only failure. I have put on over 80000 Km since then
and the motor is still quite strong, and it uses no oil. I heard that
they have weak timing chains and cam shafts. I changed the oil every
3000 to 4000 Km, have driven the car very hard (owned it since age 17),
but maintained it very methodically. I put in an elect ign. from a
Renault, custom made air cleaner w/foam race filter, 2.5" single
exhaust w/performance muffler. I did the transformation when I was 18,
so lacking money, I had to cut corners. The car is in decent
condition, but it needs work. Rocker panels are the biggest rust
collectors in these parts, my doors are in good shape. I plan on going
over this car once again to turn it into a race/rally car.
I have another 76' 504 from California (re-no rust) which I plan on
doing right up. The motor is from a Renault (Weber carb, better
intake/exhaust manifolds, elect. ign.) Transmission is 5-sp from 604,
suspension from 604, Wheels 390 mm Michelin TRX 220/60's. I contacted
"The Tire Rack" in The US to see if anyone made 15" wheels (no), the
guy suggested the TRX's, said the were as good as the XGTV's. Exhaust
is going to be dual w/Dynomax's (2.25" ea.) My only problem is finding
the time to assemble this car, as I already have the parts. When it's
done, I would gladly prove your club wrong with either of these cars
as they are just as quick if not faster than my 86' 505 Turbo.
As for the biode headlamps, I find mine at the odd wrecking yard. I
have now found 2 matching sets from 4 cars. Since I have three 504's,
extra lights are nice insurance from rocks.

I envy you very much for having such a beautiful car. I am glad to
hear that you are so painstakingly restoring it. This is one of the
cars that made me decide to put the V6 into the sedan. I read reports
on the 504 Coupe, and how it was a wonderful rally car. Those V6's
made 260 HP in full rally trim. My personnal goal is to find and
restify the 504 Cabriolet. It is a very rare car in N. America let
alone Canada, but as they say "shoot for the moon"

Has anyone heard of a North American chapter of the PeugeotSport Club?
Would anyone want to join one? I think starting one would be great.
It might show PSA. Peugeot that they are still much loved here, and
should get there butts back into the biggest car Market. Or maybe not,
it still would be fun!
Finally, I have been trying to get a hold of PeugeotLew, I wanted to
order some stuff for my my car but have not been able to get in touch
with him. Has anyone ever had any problem e-mailing him through his
web page?

Look forward to talking to you all soon
