505 detonation light

I was involved with an 85 tuurbo off and on for a few years. It would
just conk out for no consistent reason. The light would flash 6 times
then the engine would die.Soon after it would start and be off on it's
merry way.
This went on for the better part of a year Jeri Owen up till recently
the
PSA service rep in Canada went over the whole system the car of course
performed flawlessly. As soonas she left town it crashed again. She ran
into another N9T on the West coast doing the same thing. Turns out there
was a batch of bad Injection ECU's from Bosch and Peugot gave the owner
a new one. Two years of grief but fixed , well almost. The detonation
light would flash and the engine would stumble . Jeri, who was always,a
great help suggested moving the sensor down to the left motor mount .
The light hasn't flashed since.
