Hmm, it seems that 504 is not so rare here as I have thought before. No,
I've seen blue 504 diesel in Vodice, small town 10 km west from Sibenik.
It was almost 300 km south from Rijeka.

300 000 ? I've heard stories about that but I thought it was a little
exaggeration. Second largest town in Croatia, Rijeka has under 300000
inhabitants. If it is true, it is real impressive !

Btw. my collegaue who is of origin of same part of Croatia as you ( Ogulin
) has relatives in Ontario. His second name is Pesut ( with small "v" over
s ). This part of Croatia ( Lika ) is very rarely populated and the
majority of its former inhabitants emigrated to North America.
Do you think about coming back to Croatia in future ?
