Well both fuel pumps run when they should. I get a fuel smell when I am
done cranking the car. I think that the car is getting too much fuel. I
could be wrong. The metal line that I was talking about in the last
posting is rusted out. I have worked on many cars before the only one with
a CI FI was a Volvo 240. And XN6 is what the engine or the fuel injection
system? You are not kidding when you say they are elusive. Do the fuel
injectors have valves on them. How do you get them off without ruining
something? Do they just pull out? Could air be getting in the FI lines?
When you have the air-fuel control unit separated from the distributor
which way does the plunger go, with the thin head up or down. The car sat
for over a year before I bought it could that give some answers as to what
is wrong? Where is the fuel filter? Are you talking about the one that is
in the tank? Thanks, Justin.
