Well today I pulled the injector out. The Fuel Injection is called
Constant Injection so I figured that it would inject constantly. Well it
doesn't. What happened was the injector only put fuel out for a second and
then stopped. At this point I checked the Air-fuel mixture arm and it was
very hard to pull up. I guess that the control pressure regulator isn't
doing it's job correctly? The car ran today for about a minute or two. It
smoked like h***. I don't know if there was just to much oil in the air
filtration plastic housing or if it was condensation in the exhaust. At
any rate the car ran fine except for the smoking for a minute and then died
like it ran out of gas. I don't think that the cold-start injector is
working ether. Is this the year that you can't rev past 1500 RPM because
the tranny blows-up? I think that the problem might be in the line
pressure. When I took the injector out it didn't work until I gently moved
the valve in it with my finger nail, then it was spraying until I let go of
the valve. Maybe my line pressure isn't high enough. Or the added
resistance on my air-fuel control mechanism is causing it to be immobile by
the air passing through. Any Ideas? Thanks,
Justin
