No, I don't think that the mechanic replaced any hoses. :-) Actually, the
master brake cylinder cost $171.7, the fan clutch was $77.40, and the rest
was for misc. parts (rotor, distributor cap, plugs) and just under 4 hours
of labor. The work was done by my regular mechanic, whom I trust, at the
local BP station. Not being a Peugeot specialist, it took him a while to
get hold of the master cylinder.

The Peug parks fine. Neutral works too.

The tran-man says that my 505 STI sedan needs a 4HP22 transmission.
Against his better judgment, he has put out a request on his parts network
for a used one, and we'll see what they're asking.
