When braking lightly a rattling is heard as the right tire assembly shakes from
left to right. Looked more closely and found that that rod that extends with the
rack (I guess for support??) when making left turns, jiggles a bit. The guys at
the garage my dad brought it to says it need a new rack, and that a "bushing"
probally broke when boot was torn.
Questions:
1.Whats a "bushing"?
2.Would this effect both sides, because only right side is loose.
3.Is there any chance at all the my perfectly good rack from the '83 could be
used with the '87 (I know someone who could tell me for sure, but should I
even bother asking?)
4.Around how much would you expect this repair to cost, just the labor?
