505 fuel system problems

I seem to have an intermitent fault in the fuel system of my 82 505 STI.
Frequently when I try to start her up the engine cranks, and cranks ,
but will not fire. If I wait for a while (few hours) the problem goes
away and she fires right up. She has spark at all times so it must be a
faulty fuel pump. Right? I replaced the main pump about five years ago
and the fuel filter about 30,000 miles ago.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
