I had that problem and the dealer managed to fix it (Loy's Automotive in VA
(703) 532 - 4400) though the odometer is off (-10-20%)--but at least moving.

There is a place that advertises in the Roundel (a BMW magazine) that says
they can fix speedometers...here we go. North Hollywood Speedometer (818)
761 - 5136 They claim 40 years experience--give 'em a call.
