Easy question, First I think Peugeot's drive better and have more
character than those other marquees.
Second, I can't afford a new Volvo, Audu, or VW either, but unless
Peugeot returns to NA there won't be any used 98 Puegeot's for sale in
America when I start looking for another car a few years from now.

All the stories about Peugeot's breaking down and needing tow trucks are
myths created by Peugeot drivers to keep demand down and hence the
available of used Peugeots up and the prices down. The longer this myth
is perpetuated the better for us all!
